Swedish power trio KAMCHATKA return with a new album Long Road Made of Gold (Despotz Records – preorder), and Crave has the premiere for the lyric video to single “Get Your Game On” to lead the blues/stoner rock circus into town when the full release hits on May 22.
Interestingly and fittingly enough, the band is named after the especially volcanic region of Russia. Kamchatka bassist Per Wiberg will be familiar to Opeth fans, having run an extensive keyboard presence in the beloved Swedish metal crushers. The band is rounded out by founding member and guitarist/vocalist Thomas Andersson, as well as Tobias Strandvik on drums (before him, Jean-Paul Gaster of Clutch played drums for a bit – the band’s lone US tour was with Clutch).
The band’s sixth album, Long Road Made of Gold features the mixing/mastering touches of Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir). See for yourself what the results are below with “Get Your Game On,” exclusively premiered on Crave:
