Kendrick Lamar Names Earl Sweatshirt His Favorite Rapper in Twitter Q&A

During a Twitter Q&A this week, Kendrick Lamar dubbed Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt his favorite rapper in the game currently.

Kendrick hosted a Twitter exchange with the hashtag #askkendrick leading to questions such as: “What’s your favourite song off of [recent album] To Pimp a Butterfly?” to which he replied “For Free? (Interlude)”.

When asked “Who’s your favorite artist in the game right now?” Lamar replied with the Sweatshirt nod, while also giving a serious nod to Lil Wayne as being one “of the most influential artists of this generation,” giving respect to the fact that he’s “still hungry” for success.
