The new release date was revealed on the official Arkham Twitter account, with it reading: “We are pleased to announce our new release date – Batman: Arkham Knight will officially launch worldwide on 06.23.15.” The cause of the delay is not yet known.

Arkham Knight is pitched as being the concluding chapter of the Arkham series, with Rocksteady once again taking the reins of the series they created after WB Montreal had a crack at it with Arkham Origins.

Rocksteady also debuted a new gameplay trailer that shows Batman grappling with some anonymous thugs in Gotham City, along with a brutal interrogation scene.
