Being a member of Slipknot seems to carry a particular extra risk of life and limb even offstage, as guitarist Mick Thomson and his brother Andrew Thomson were rushed to the hospital with injuries following a knife fight early Wednesday morning (March 11).
Both brothers were reportedly drunk at Mick’s residence in Clive, Iowa, when the altercation took place. Mick reportedly suffered a stab wound in the back of his head, though none of the injuries are reportedly life-threatening.
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has confirmed the reality of the altercation, tweeting:
Barring any domestic charges, Thomson will have time to heal up fast before a run of spring dates starting April 25 in Fort Meyers, FL. Slipknot is currently on a break from the road after a string of international dates, but will embark on a major headlining tour called Summer’s Last Stand, kicking off July 24 in West Palm Beach, FL.,
