Comic Scribe Christos Gage Writes Daredevil Series on Netflix

Marvel’s Daredevil series on Netflix has been shrouded in secrecy since its announcement in 2013. There’s only been one trailer officially released for Daredevil with just over a month before the series premiere.

Aside from showrunner Steven S. DeKnight and former Daredevil showrunner, Drew Goddard, only Adam Kane had been announced as one of the Daredevil staff writers… until now.

The Writers Guild of America has announced a special Daredevil writers panel featuring DeKnight, Christos Gage, Ruth Gage, Luke Kalteux and Douglas Petrie. While Petrie has a following from his days on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, The 4400 and American Horror Story: Coven, Christos Gage is a TV veteran who doubles as one of the most prolific writers in comics.

Since his comic book debut in 2004, Gage has written Amazing Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, The Authority: Prime, Storm Watch, Avengers Academy, Angel & Faith and the current Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 10 comics from Dark Horse.

Gage has previously collaborated with his wife, Ruth Gage on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Numbers in addition to other feature film projects.

Marvel’s Daredevil features Charlie Cox in the title role as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who uses his unique radar senses to bring justice to the streets of Hell’s Kitchen as a costumed vigilante.

Netflix will premiere all 13 episodes of Daredevil on Friday, April 10.
