Messina Has Turned Four Laneway Festival Acts Into Gelato

Laneway Festival has already given punters plenty for the ears with their epic 2015 lineup, and now they’re targeting the tastebuds with a little help from Gelato Messina.

Laneway Licks is a collaboration between Messina and Cool Accidents, who’ve joined forces to bring festivalgoers in both Melbourne and Sydney four delicious gelato flavours. These aren’t just your standard flavours though. Each gelato is named after an act on the lineup with Little Dragon, Dune Rats, Connan Mockasin and Royal Blood all represented by milky delights.

Apparently Little Dragon taste like salted caramel with a smattering of chocolate brownie, while Royal Blood are coconut gelato with berries and almond. Connan Mockasin will appeal to the peanut butter gelato fans while chocolate lovers best look to the Dune Rats flavour which also has chunks of pretzel throughout.

If you get the timing just right, you can enjoy one of the flavours while watching the band for direct comparison.

Tickets to the Sydney Laneway sold out earlier this week but there are still a few Melbourne tickets left if you’re keen on tasting these limited-edition flavours. The touring festival kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, 31st January, in Brisbane. Details below.
