The New Year-straddling Falls Festival has dropped its first lineup bombshell for 2015/2016. This year will see some of the biggest names in Australian music take to stages across the country alongside plenty of heavy-hitting internationals, including Bloc Party, Foals, Disclosure, Courtney Barnett and Gary Clark Jr.
Halsey, Django Django, Kurt Vile And The Violators, Mac DeMarco, Young Fathers , Toro y Moi, BØRNS and The Maccabees round out the impressive list of global acts heading Down Under to celebrate New Years at Falls.
They’ll join other beloved homegrown acts such as Alpine, Birds Of Tokyo, Gang Of Youths, Hiatus Kaiyote, Hilltop Hoods , King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Little May, Meg Mac, RÜFÜS, Seth Sentry, Paul Kelly and many more to be announced.
The travelling New Year’s Eve event will once again return to its longtime homes of Marion Bay (Tassie), Lorne (VIC) as well as Byron Bay (NSW) in late December and early January.
Organisers have also unveiled the lineup for Boogie Nights, the festival’s opening party, which will this year be headed up by musical and comedic genius, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, together with Sydney trio Art Vs Science, DJ collective Fleetmac Wood and the man known as the “Mexican Elvis” El Vez.
