Destiny Update Fixes Vault of Glass Raid Exploit and Zebra Errors

Bungie has released Destiny update 1.0.2.3, which is set to fix a number of issues with the game including a Vault of Glass raid exploit and multiple error codes reporting as Zebra.

The update will fix an exploit in the game’s raid mode that allowed players to push Atheon off his platform in the Vault of Glass, along with an issue which saw him failing to select random targets for teleportation. Alongside these fixes Bungie will also be amending issues with error codes, which have seen multiple problems with the game reporting as Zebra codes, making it more difficult for solutions to these problems to be distinguished. These error codes will now display as their own separate codes.

Fortunately for a select number of players, a persistent issue with the game where certain users would be frequently kicked to the login screen has now reportedly been amended. Despite Bungie describing this as a “rare” issue, Bungie’s forums have been plagued with this issue over the duration this month, but the developer has stated that this should no longer be the case. Another issue which would see players being kicked to orbit, which was reported as a Cockatoo error (these animal-based error codes are a lot less cute when you’re on the receiving end of one) has also been resolved.

Bungie will be adding voice communication to matchmaking in the future, so you can talk to strangers.

A few crippling server issues have also been rectified, with Bungie stating that players would no longer be kicked at the beginning of an activity due to a server error, along with the developer increasing protect against account corruption.

Bungie has also stated that it is currently working on fine-tuning Exotic weaponry, along with adding voice communication for matchmaking and increasing the amount of Bounties you can carry.

It’s great that Bungie are still putting their full support behind Destiny with these incremental updates, and I’m sure that a number of the problems addressed in update 1.0.2.3 will serve to quell the frustrations of a few players, particularly those who are finding themselves frequently coming up against the Zebra error code.
