Field Day 2015 Offers Best Of New Year’s Festivals

The Field Day festival will land in Sydney for another New Year’s Day celebration in 2015, and their newly announced lineup compiles the finest selection of musicians already touring country during the New Year’s period into one fantastic event.

All three headliners will be appearing at other festivals this year, but Field Day brings them together under one banner in one highly convenient location at Sydney’s Domain.

Londoner SBTRKT and Leeds trio alt-j are already visiting for stalwarts Falls and Southbound festivals, both held in relatively remotely areas, while American DJ Dillon Francis was previously announced as a drawcard for the fledgling Beyond The Valley festival, which makes its debut at Phillip Island this year.

Rappers Danny Brown and Action Bronson were earlier this week announced as features at Perth’s Origin NYE shindig, while DJ/producer mastermind Jamie xx, indie pop buzz band Milky Chance and R ‘n B favourites Salt N Pepa are also heading to Falls in Lorne, Byron Bay and Marion Bay.

If you’re still not convinced, the festival is also bringing UK rockers Bastille out for their only Australian appearances announced so far, and proven festival favourites RüFüS and Peking Duk will keep you dancing even if you’ve partied a bit too hard on NYE.

Early Bird tickets to Field Day go on sale from midday Tuesday, September 30 via Fuzzy for $118 plus a $7 booking fee. VIP passes will be also be available from the 30th for $185 plus booking fee. General Release tickets ($138 plus booking fee) will made available once Early Bird tickets are sold out. x
