“Everything is in Place” for Ronaldo’s Return to Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo’s rumoured return to Manchester United could happen sooner rather than later, according to football expert Guillem Balague.

There has been much speculation that Ronaldo’s alleged move to Manchester United from Real Madrid would come sooner rather than later, but Balague has claimed that there isn’t a great deal that is preventing Ronaldo from making the transition, regardless of the striker having recently signed a contract extension with the La Liga club.

Speaking to Revista de La Liga (via Sky Sports), Balague said: “He has this idea, I think, that at Real Madrid he is doing a job and he is working, but he enjoyed himself almost like a kid at Manchester United.

“He dreams of going back to Manchester United and Manchester United have got all the finances in place to get him.

“When will that be? It depends, of course, on a lot of things. It depends on Real Madrid and on Cristiano himself.

“I have a pretty good idea of when he wants to go. It won’t be this month or next month, but he wants to go back to Manchester United and everything is in place for him to return to Old Trafford.”

Ronaldo has previously stated that he is unhappy at Real Madrid, and has frequently made his love of Manchester United clear. His former teammate Angel Di Maria’s move to Old Trafford was said to have impacted negatively upon the 29-year-old, as the pair had built a strong friendship whilst playing in Spain together.

It was also reported that Ronaldo was disappointed with his wages, with him swiftly moving down the list of highest-paid footballers despite him undoubtedly being one of the best players in the world.
