Grand Theft Auto V on PC Hasn’t Been Canceled, But Has Been Delayed [UPDATE: New Trailer]

We have some good news and some bad news, PC owners: Grand Theft Auto V hasn’t been canceled on the platform as was previously speculated (and debunked), but it has been delayed until next year: January 27th, to be exact.

The release dates for the console and PC remastered versions of the last-gen game were announced today by Rockstar, with GTAV coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on November 18th.

The game will feature extra content on the new consoles/PC, with Rockstar saying: “A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.”

Rockstar also detailed improvements made to the divisive GTA Online, which suffered from a myriad of problems in its Xbox 360/PS3 incarnation including huge server problems and hackers ruining the mode by securing themselves infinite amounts of cash. Rockstar said: “Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come.”

All in all, this is great news for the three people who didn’t play Grand Theft Auto V last year.

Update: Here’s a brand new trailer for the game:
