British Rapper L Jinny May Not Have Beheaded James Foley as Reports Suggest Video was “Staged”

British rapper L Jinny, real name Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, was previously suspected to be the jihadist who beheaded James Foley, though forensic analysis now suggests that he acted as a “frontman” and may not have murdered the journalist.

In the horrific video, the camera pans away from the masked murderer before he executes Foley. An international forensics science company has now reported that post-production techniques appear to have been used in the video, suggesting that the man who is suspected to be Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary may not have been the one to end the American journalist’s life.

The analysis reads: “After enhancements, the knife can be seen to be drawn across the upper neck at least six times, with no blood evidence to the point the picture fades to black.”

An expert who commissioned the examination of the footage agreed that it appeared to have been doctored, saying: “I think it has been staged. My feeling is that the execution may have happened after the camera was stopped.”

However, while there have been conspiracies circulating that the execution may not have taken place at all, the analysts assert that “No one is disputing that at some point an execution occurred.”

23-year-old Abdel-Majed Abdel Bar left his home in West London to join ISIS in Syria, with him previously being brought to the media’s attention after reportedly tweeting an image of himself holding a severed head accompanied with the caption: “Chillin’ with my homie or what’s left of him”. An investigation on the rapper is now underway.
