Lollapalooza 2014 Interview: Chromeo Give a Disco-Death History & More

Before heading out on stage, Dave 1 and P-Thugg—the guys who make up the electro-funk group Chromeo—sat down to chat with CraveOnline at Lollapalooza 2014 in the Samsung Galaxy Artist Lounge.

The duo discussed the versatility of their music and their ability to reach such a broad spectrum of music-loving fans with a cross-genre approach. They also dug deep into the racist demise of the first incarnation of disco – a genre this dynamic duo is working hard to revive.

The pair also touched on how the internet has allowed their music to spread all across the globe and reach so many different groups of people. According to Chromeo, there really isn’t a geographical location that they’re particularly tied to. “Our music isn’t culture specific,” Dave 1 explained.
