Guns N’ Roses New Film ‘Appetite For Democracy’ To Arrive July 1st

The post-millennial version of Guns n’ Roses, aka Axl Rose and his merry band of hired hands, will release ‘GNR’s Appetite For Democracy 3D – Live at the Hard Rock Casino, Las Vegas’ on Blu-ray 3D on July 1st.

Fans can pre-order the concert here, which was filmed during GNR’s residency at The Joint in Vegas through November 2012. The show celebrated twenty-five years of GNR’s perfect landmark debut Appetite for Destruction and the new band’s eternally-awaited album Chinese Democracy.

The elaborate production features some of GNR’s biggest hits including “Welcome To The Jungle,” “Sweet Child Of Mine,” “Mr Brownstone,” “November Rain,” a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin‘ On Heaven’s Door,” “Nightrain,” McCartney’s “Live And Let Die,” “Paradise City,” and many more. This is the first live concert release from Guns N’ Roses, since Use Your Illusion II in 1992.

As for new GNR material? Well, history tells us not to hold our breath, but Axl is teasing us nonetheless. During a new interview with Revolver magazine, Rose shared some details on the follow-up to 2008’s Chinese Democracy. “We recorded a lot of things before ‘Chinese’ was out,” Axl said. “We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of ‘Chinese’. That’s already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from ‘Chinese’. That’s been done for a while, too. But after Vegas, we’re going to start looking very seriously at what we’re doing in that regard.”

More details on the film will be announced shortly.
