The Order: 1886 Delayed to 2015, Statement Released

The Order: 1886 has been pushed back from its planned 2014 launch window, and will instead be released in 2015.

In a statement released to GameInformer, creative director Ru Weerasuriya said: “To deliver that experience that we’ve wanted, and that we hope players expect, we’re targeting an early 2015 release on the game. We’re really trying to hone in on getting the whole game to that level of polish.”

The Order: 1886 is being touted as one of the best-looking games to ever be released on a home console, and it was a key exclusive for Sony’s PS4. News that it is being pushed back a year is no doubt a big blow for the company, as it was one of the most highly anticipated games of the year for the platform.

With that being said, I’m all for games being delayed if it’s to make them better, so I’m completely okay with waiting a little while longer for The Order, even if it does mean it leaves a big whole in the PS4’s 2014 software releases.
