Listen: New Michael Jackson Song ft. Justin Timberlake Arrives

A new album will soon be released by Michael Jackson, despite the fact that he’s been dead for five years. Epic Records announced a May 13th release for the record, titled Xscape, which will include 8 previously unheard new tracks produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid.

The first single from the late superstar’s posthumous album premiered Thursday night at the iHeartRadio Awards. “Love Never Felt So Good,” originally written and recorded by Jackson and Paul Anka in 1983, is the debut single from Xscape and features Justin Timberlake. The song will be available for purchase starting at midnight Friday.

Featuring an alternating vocal between Jackson and Timberlake, the production team did a fine job of mixing age-old vocal tracks with a more modern sound. There’s still a vintage element to the track, however, with the song arguably retrofitting his earlier work. The song has been “contemporized” by Anka and Jackson estate co-executor John McClain, according to an Epic Records news release.
