Watch: Bliss N Eso Visit Aussie Troops In Afghanistan

Bliss N Eso have dropped a short documentary detailing the Sydney hip hop trio’s visit to Afghanistan last year.

American MC Bliss (Jonathan Notley) and Aussies Eso (Max The MacKinnon) and DJ Izm (Tarik Ejjamai) spent 10 days in the Middle East visiting Australian Defence Force bases in Tarin Kowt, Kandahar and a NATO base in Kabul in one of the last events before the majority of Aussie soldiers were withdrawn from the region.

While the doco shows the boys gearing up and having a blast with all types of high-tech weaponry, Bliss N Eso are quick to point out they are all about the troops and not conflict.

“We don’t support war or conflict, what we do support are our fellow human beings,” said Notley.

“These guys and girls who are stationed all around the world are our fans and due to the nature of their work they don’t get to see our shows back home. To be able to play to them in a location like Afghanistan was a fulfilling and eye-opening experience, and likely something we will never be able to do again.”

Bliss N Eso are currently on the road for a massive Australia tour. You can catch them at the following dates:
