Minecraft Will Allow you to Build Your Own Terrain in Huge Update

Mojang has announced a new update for Minecraft, one that will let players create the terrain of their world from scratch.

Minecraft 1.8 was revealed via a YouTube Video posted by Mojang, which you can view below, The video shows how players will now essentially be able to create custom worlds from scratch, rather than spawning in a randomly generated world and mining it/building upon it.

The description of the update reads: “Here’s a quick preview of an upcoming feature for Minecraft 1.8 which will allow players to create their own wild and crazy terrain!

“There are 16 sliders which can be used to affect various aspects of Minecraft‘s terrain generator, but you can also type in values directly. You also have complete control over things like the sea level and what structures you want to generate.

“We’ve also supplied a set of seven presets that we think players will find interesting, including a world made of water up to the top of the map, and the return of floating islands.”

Those who love to go crazy in the game’s Creative mode will no doubt be foaming at the mouth in anticipation of Minecraft 1.8. The update will be coming to the PC version of the wildly popular game.
