Video: Sasquatch Fest Downsizes, But Excitement Remains For Weekend One

The Sasquatch! Music Festival is fast approaching, with the annual Washington weekend event bringing yet another incredible lineup to The Gorge Ampitheater just east of Seattle. While fans (including Crave) will be heading up this Memorial Day weekend to see Outkast, Queens of The Stone Age, The National, Brody DalleDie Antwoord, HAIM, Portugal The Man and many more rock at the majestic venue.

Organizers have apparently bitten off more than it can chew, however, as the second weekend of the event has been cancelled. A promising bill that included Soundgarden, Atmosphere, Frank Ocean, Neutral Milk Hotel, Spoon, Broken Bells and more simply didn’t generate enough interest, and plans for the first two-weekend Sasquatch expansion were scrapped.

Nevertheless, we’re beyond excited to get back up to Washington this May to take in the full Sasquatch 2014 experience. Quite literally in the middle of nowhere, The Gorge’s annual music fest, located in the city of George, is framed by an utterly breathtaking mountain backdrop, a river winding through gorgeous desert canyons as it stretches to the far reaches of an impossibly beautiful horizon. In the clip below, we provide all the info you need to get up to the event and have the best Memorial Day weekend imaginable!
