New Round Of Juno Award Performers Announced

Another round of performers for this year’s Juno Awards have been announced, and they include Arcade Fire, OneRepublic, and songstress Sarah McLachlan.

Arcade Fire will take part in live broadcast via a taped performance, according to an official press release that was given out by CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). They’re also the artists with the most nominations, including Album of the Year for Reflektor. Unable to attend the 2014 Junos due to touring commitments, Arcade Fire will take part in the broadcast via a taped performance. The world premiere, exclusive performance – dedicated by the band to the JUNO Awards – will be a one-of-a-kind recorded experience for viewers of Canada’s biggest night in music.

Rockers OneRepublic make their Juno Awards’ debut this year with their latest hit single Counting Stars. At five-times platinum, Counting Stars is the highest-selling single for the band ever in Canada.

McLachlan, who has performed at the Junos seven times, returns to the stage with the Canadian television debut performance of Beautiful Girl from her upcoming album, “Shine On.” It was previously announced that McLachlan would appear as a special presenter for MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity, associated with CARAS. McLachlan will be speaking about the extensive work MusiCounts is doing in 2014 that will help keep music alive for Canadian youth and put instruments into the hands of children who need it most.

This year’s awards, which will be co-hosted by Classified, Johnny Reid, and Serena Ryder, airs on Sunday, March 30th from Winnipeg’s MTS Centre.
