Splendour in the Grass 2014 remains some seven months away, but one band may be looking to commit early.
London Grammar aren’t far away from their New Year’s Eve Falls Festival appearance and are seemingly booking themselves in for another visit next winter as part of Splendour.
The hugely successful UK trip hop trio said plans to be part of this year’s festival fell through, however a return in 2014 appears very possible.
“Yeah they’ve already been talking about that,” guitarist Dan Rothman said regarding a Splendour appearance next July in an interview with The Vine earlier in the week.
“We were supposed to play it this year but they couldn’t get us out there in time. It wasn’t going to work, so I think it’s always been the plan to go back next year.”
Coinciding with their involvement at the Falls and Southbound festivals, London Grammar are playing a couple of headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney in early January, shows organised by Splendour promoters Secret Sounds.
September’s debut album, If You Wait, enjoyed massive success Down Under, flying straight to No.2 on the ARIA Charts.
