Listen: Dance Pioneer Giorgio Moroder Remixes Haim

The name Giorgio Moroder may sound familiar- Daft Punk paid tribute to the veteran producer earlier this year on Random Access Memories. Now, the 73-year-old is back doing what he loves, remixing the single “Forever” from hugely successful sister act Haim.

The 73-year-old Italian is an electronic great, known for pioneering dance music and the synth disco wave.  He worked with Daft Punk on their latest offering, even featuring his vocals on the tribute track “Giorgio by Moroder”, an experience he described as “moving” and “emotional” after being approached by the French duo.

The European music icon appears to be well and truly back in business, releasing a remix of “Forever”.

Moroder’s version features his trademark synths plus some of the can’t miss robot vocals popularised by Daft Punk.

“I love this group of talented girls and believe their sound is timeless. I was drawn to this track by the bold drum sounds & knew the originality of the track would go well with my synths!”
