DualShock 4 Now Works on PC… Using Third-Party Software

Sony’s new DualShock 4 is an incredibly good controller. It’s so good that you probably wish you could use it on your PC. Well, now you can.

A programmer named InhexSTER has developed an emulator that fools your PC into thinking a physically connected PS4 controller is a Xbox 360 controller. Although rumble, the touchpad, and other functionalities don’t work with the software, all standard inputs do.

So now you can play your favorite PC games with the controller. The question is, which one do you start with? Something that uses the d-pad, such as a platformer like Braid, isn’t such a bad idea. Or you can can give the analog sticks a whirl with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It’s your choice.

You an download the software from the PCSX2 forums here.
