Top-Searched Sports Terms Of 2013

Tim Tebow? Really? That’s all I need to say.

2013 came and went in the blink of an eye. Of all the sports news and personalities that made headlines, the former Heisman Trophy winner was still the most searched athlete in 2013, even though he didn’t play a single down this season in the NFL.

Below is the complete top 10, as released by Yahoo:

Top-Searched Athletes on Yahoo 2013:

  1. tim tebow

  2. tiger woods

  3. danica patrick

  4. lindsey vonn

  5. ronda rousey

  6. lamar odom

  7. tito ortiz

  8. serena williams

  9. maria sharapova

  10. gina carano

Considering Odom is married to a Kardashian, Ortiz is still one of the most popular fighters in the world and Sharapova is still quite good looking, I’m not surprised by any other of these rankings aside from the #1 slot. However, #10 raised an eyebrow. Gina who? Ohhh ok. Ya, not bad looking either.

Still, I’m shocked Ryan Braun, Tom Brady, Mike Tyson or LeBron James weren’t searched more.

Top-Searched Sports Teams on Yahoo in 2013:

  1. dallas cowboys

  2. boston red sox

  3. green bay packers

  4. los angeles lakers

  5. detroit tigers

  6. pittsburgh steelers

  7. los angeles dodgers

  8. new york yankees

  9. denver broncos

  10. milwaukee bucks

The only team here that surprises me are the Bucks at #10. No kidding? Milwaukee? Algonquin for “the good land?” Over teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide, Miami Heat or New York Knicks? It must be because of Bango!

Top-Searched Girlfriends on Yahoo in 2013:

  1. adam scott girlfriend

  2. prince harry girlfriend

  3. tim tebow girlfriend

  4. tiger woods girlfriend

  5. daniel radcliffe girlfriend

  6. aj mccarron girlfriend

  7. adam levine girlfriend

  8. colin kaepernick girlfriend

  9. johnny manziel girlfriend

  10. zayn malik girlfriend

And I’m not familiar with any of these “WAGs,” except for of course Katherine Webb, girlfriend of Bama quarterback A.J. McCarron (pictured above). However, if the rest of the ladies on this list are as smokin’ as Kate is, I’m sure they’re worth the gander.
