Arctic Monkeys, Bastille Announce Massive Australian Tours

The Arctic Monkeys and Bastille have announced two huge 2014 Australian tours a month apart from one another.

As promised, the Arctic Monkeys are returning to Australia for a five-stop arena tour after having last visited in 2011 as part of the Falls and Southbound festivals, also playing a few smaller headline shows at the time.

The band latest offering, AM, released in September, became the fifth consecutive Arctic Monkeys’ album to debut at No.1 spot on the UK charts, also taking top spot on the Australian and New Zealand charts.

Tickets for the AM tour go on sale Wednesday, December 11.

Bastille made a brief visit Down Under in August to play two quick shows in Melbourne and Sydney; selling out both in less than 24 hours.

2013’s biggest band recently sold-out a full UK tour scheduled for early next year. In high demand, the boys are heading back our way in June for a four-stop tour (sorry, Adelaide).

Bastille’s huge 2014 has come on the back of the success of their debut release, Bad Blood, that became the highest selling album of the year with a lot of help from the hit single ‘Pompeii’.
