Watch Arcade Fire’s Lyric Video For ‘Afterlife’

Arcade Fire have the most anticipated album of the year, by a longshot. The Grammy-grabbing Canadian indie heroes are adding gas to the bonfire with a lyric video for the song “Afterlife,” the second single from the band’s upcoming double-album fourth offering, Reflektor

The song premiered Monday on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, with the video following shortly after featuring scenes from 1959 Brazilian movie Black Orpheus, directed by France’s Marcel Camus. Attentive fans will draw connections between the film and the album’s references to the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, both depicted on the cover art for Reflektor.

Reflektor was produced in part by LCD Soundsystem mastermind James Murphy, and will see an October 28th release on Merge.
