On the heels of two incredible shows in Austin for ACL 2013 and before their hotly anticipated Treasure Island Festival set this weekend, Atoms for Peace have delivered a new video for their AMOK track “Before Your Very Eyes,” but rather than simply post the clip, frontman Thom Yorke revealed it with a cryptic tweet.
Yorke wrote, “Aaah Blinkin’ Hollywood:) Thanks to everyone who came last night. http://atomsforpeace.info/.” Scrolling sideways until one reaches the Hollywood sign, the site then takes you to a PDF document which connects to a YouTube video (below). What follows is a mindfuck, basically.
The animated clip takes us to another world, where Yorke rises among the shifting deserts and waterways, and the melancholy patter we’re taken down beneath the shifting psychedelic landscapes. What happens after that is entirely interpretive. Check it out below.
