ACL 2013 VIDEO: Franz Ferdinand Talk “Right Action,” Austin’s Charms

It's been almost 10 years since Scotland's own Franz Ferdinand dropped their self-titled debut album and its breakout single "Take Me Out."  Now, nearly a decade later, the guys are back with their fourth record, the well-received Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action — powered by the album's rollicking opening track "Right Action."

And in support of the record, the boys are back stateside for a fall tour, highlighted by a Day 3 slot on the jam-packed Austin City Limits 2013 lineup.

Before tearing up the ACL Samsung Galaxy stage (but after pounding out some fun acoustic performances for various radio outlets in the ACL media area), FF bassist Bob Hardy and drummer Paul Thompson stopped by to talk to CraveOnline about the big show.

Hardy and Thompson discuss the personality of Austin (like any true musician, Thompson gravitates toward the city's bars and used record stores), the joys of playing Right Thoughts songs live for the first time as well as who they're looking forward to seeing on the ACL bill.

Thanks to our pals at FILTER for their assistance there in Austin this weekend!
