Flume, Tame Impala, Empire Of The Sun Head ARIA Award Nominations

Flume, Tame Impala and Empire of the Sun are among the big names in Australian music nominated for the ARIA Awards 2013.

The first batch of announcements were made Wednesday and included nominees for the 2013 Fine Arts & Artisan Awards, with categories including jazz, world music, classical, soundtrack, producer and engineer awards, and Best Cover Art.

Most interesting will be the Producer of the Year award which features Flume for his self-titled debut album, Empire Of The Sun duo Nick Littlemore and Luke Steele for their sophomore release Ice On The Dune, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker for the band’s Lonerism and Wayne Connolloy from Boy & Bear for the Harlequin Dream album.
