BioShock Infinite DLC Detailed: Clash in the Clouds and Burial at Sea

BioShock Infinite director Ken Levine stated earlier in the month that by the end of July DLC for his latest game would be announced. He didn’t disappoint.

Clash in the Clouds has been announced as the first DLC for BioShock Infinite. It introduces four new maps with an arena-style of gameplay that puts players in a high-adrenaline situation against waves of enemies. Basically, Horde mode. The four maps are Raven’s Dome, The Ops Zeal, Emporia Arcade, and Duke and Dimwit Theatre. Although this might not be the type of DLC that fans of the vanilla game have been looking for, it’s already available and only costs $4.99.

What’s more, the second and third previously hinted DLC packs have also been detailed. The bundle is being called Burial at Sea, and is a double-header adventure featuring Booker and Elizabeth. Its synopsis is described as the following:

Burial at Sea is set on New Year’s Eve, 1958, the night of the bombing that was the beginning of the end for Rapture. In the first episode you play as Booker, and then in the second episode you play as Elizabeth.

New voxophones and weapons make this upcoming DLC feel substantial. It has been stated that playing as the two different characters is quite different, and there will be plenty of additional story to relive the thrill of being within the confines of Rapture.

A release date for Burial at Sea is currently unknown.
