Unlike its rivals, Sony has been a regular attendee at the yearly Gamescom in Cologne, German. This year will be no different.
Sony has confirmed that it will have a press conference Gamescom 2013. The conference is slated to begin one day before the event (August 20th) at 7:00PM Central European Time or 10:00AM PST, and is expected to last between an hour and an hour and a half.
In terms of what will be shown, Sony has stated that it sees Gamescom as a great opportunity to show off its 20 games cemented to release in 2013. Beyond that, a PS3 and PS Vita price drop are in the cards as Gamescom is the usual playing ground for PlayStation price reductions.
At last year’s Sony Press Conference several games were announced including Tearaway, Puppeteer, Until Dawn, and Rain. The Vita Cross-Buy option was also confirmed as was the introduction of PS Classics to the Vita. Needless to say, Sony takes Gamescom and the European market very seriously, so expect a strong showing.
