Winnipeg’s Most Face Drug Charges

The Winnipeg hip-hop band “Winnipeg’s Most,” made up of MC’s Jon-C (Billy Pierson), Charlie Fettah (Tyler Rogers), and Brooklyn (Jamie Prefontaine), are facing drug charges and will stand trial.

According to an article by The Canadian Press, Pierson denied the allegations and argued in court that the charges should be dropped, saying police authorities didn’t have a valid search warrant when they allegedly found cocaine as well as marijuana in 2008 at his home, however a judge ruled the warrant was valid and Pierson now has to stand trial on trafficking charges sometime in April. He also faces charges stemming from a separate drug raid that took place last year.

“They have the radar out for these individuals yet there doesn’t appear to be any established connection,” said Pierson’s lawyer Barry Sinder to the Winnipeg Free Press.

Winnipeg’s Most released a number of albums, their last one being Good Fellaz in 2011. They’ve also won several awards, including a number of Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.
