When nature calls, it can lead to outright desperation. That’s what happened in Texas when a man decided he couldn’t hold it in anymore. The problem was that it was in the middle of the night and apparently nothing was open. And so he decided to drive his vehicle straight through the doors of a grocery store just so he could do his business. Someone needs to tell him that this isn’t what we mean when we say a store has a drive-thru.
Photos show “extensive damage” done to the Kroger’s grocery store
On September 27 at around 4:28 a.m., an unnamed man drove his gray Chevrolet Equinox through two automated glass doors of a Kroger grocery store, according to a post by the Rosenberg Police Department on its official Facebook page.
When officers arrived on the scene and investigated the incident, they discovered the driver was in desperate of finding a restroom and “was upset the doors were locked.” Apparently, the fact that grocery stores lock its doors at night after they close was shocking to the driver.
Three photos paired with the post show the “extensive damage” done to the pharmacy entrance of the store. The vehicle had plowed through the first set of doors, leaving a trail of glass and debris along the carpeted floor. Then it smashed through the second set of doors with enough impact to shatter all four windows and leaving one door barely hanging onto the frame.
Somehow, the man had enough wherewithal not to drive the Chevy straight into a stand full of mixed bags of Halloween candy. Still, shards of glass can be seen dusting the top of the car.
“I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go,” the post from Rosenberg Police said, “but we strongly advise finding a store open for business…to do your business.”
The post did not reveal the name nor age of the suspect. It also did not provide any information on what charges the man faces.
