The Devil Wears Prada 2 is Only Behind Deadpool & Wolverine in Disney’s Streaming Record List

The Devil Wears Prada 2 continues to build on its commercial success following its theatrical release. The sequel has delivered one of Disney’s strongest live-action streaming debuts in recent years. It now ranks second only to Deadpool & Wolverine as the biggest live-action movie launch on Disney+ and Hulu.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits over 15 million views in just five days on Disney+

The Devil Wears Prada 2 has recorded a major streaming milestone, surpassing 15 million global views within five days of its debut on Disney+ and Hulu, as reported by Variety. The achievement makes the sequel Disney’s biggest live-action movie launch on the platforms since Deadpool & Wolverine.

Disney reported that the film generated 15.2 million views worldwide during its first five days on the two streaming services. The company calculated the figure by dividing the total time spent watching the film by its 119-minute runtime.

Although Disney has not revealed Deadpool & Wolverine’s five-day total, it previously announced that the Marvel film reached 19.4 million views in six days. This shows that the gap between the two movies after the same five-day window is likely smaller than 4.2 million.

The streaming performance follows a highly successful theatrical run. According to Box Office Mojo, The Devil Wears Prada 2 grossed $690.8 million worldwide on a reported $100 million budget. This includes $220.5 million from domestic theaters and $470.3 million from international markets.

Directed by David Frankel from a screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna, The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiered in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026. The sequel reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt, all of whom reprise their roles from the original film. The film has also been well received by critics and audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a 78 percent critics’ score and 84 percent audience rating.
