Tom Cruise’s $571 Million Action Movie Sets Netflix Streaming Date

Netflix is set to expand its catalog with one of Tom Cruise’s most acclaimed recent blockbusters. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to debut on the platform. The spy thriller earned widespread critical praise and delivered a massive global box office haul.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One arrives on Netflix in February

Netflix is preparing to add Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One to its streaming library in February. The Tom Cruise-led blockbuster is set to debut on the platform on February 25, 2026, according to What’s on Netflix. The film was one of the year’s major theatrical releases. It earned about $571 million worldwide and had drawn strong reviews from critics. 

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the movie serves as the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise. Cruise returns as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, who once again finds himself confronting a threat with global consequences.

The film follows Ethan Hunt and his team as they race to stop a dangerous new weapon from falling into wrong hands. Their mission takes them across several countries and pits them against a mysterious and immensely powerful enemy. As the team finds itself in increasing dangerous situations, fate of the world hang in the balance.

The ensemble cast includes Hayley Atwell as Grace, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, and Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis among others.

Upon its original release in 2023, the film was widely praised by critics. It currently holds a 96 percent critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 439 reviews. The film also carries a 94 percent score from audiences on the site’s Popcornmeter. 

CG Magazine‘s Shakyl Lambert wrote, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One maintains the high bar of jaw-dropping action the franchise has maintained for the last decade.”

He continued, “There are bada– shootouts, very close-quarter brawls, and an impressive car chase featured all throughout the film.” Critics also praised Cruise’s performance, along with the work of the film’s supporting cast.
