Underrated Marvel Character To Return in MCU – Report

Excitement is building for Marvel’s Multiverse Saga, and a new rumor suggests a fan-favorite speedster might be sprinting back to the screen. A prominent online scooper has hinted that Evan Peters, who played Quicksilver in the Fox X-Men films, is set for a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Evan Peters rumored to be back in MCU

With excitement building for Avengers: Doomsday and Marvel’s broader multiverse plans, scooper My Time To Shine Hello claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Evan Peters will return, sharing images of the actor as Quicksilver. While Marvel Studios has yet to comment, the post has sparked renewed discussion about whether Peters’ speedster could finally re-enter the MCU more definitively.

Earlier reports around Avengers: Doomsday noted that the film is expected to bring back a mix of established MCU heroes and familiar faces from the 20th Century Fox-era X-Men films. Evan Peters has frequently been mentioned in this Marvel context, particularly after Ian McKellen’s return as Magneto was confirmed for the upcoming Avengers sequel.

The actor confirmed his strong interest in returning to the Marvel world in an interview with MovieWeb. “I’d love to. I would absolutely love to. I think that would be incredibly fun to explore that character,” he stated. He expressed a specific desire to explore the father-son dynamic with Magneto, a relationship the Fox films never fully developed despite their shared screen time.

Peters first sprinted onto the scene as Peter Maximoff in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, reprising the role in Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. However, his MCU debut in WandaVision was a clever fake-out, with Peters playing Ralph Bohner, an ordinary Westview resident enchanted to impersonate Wanda’s brother. This twist left his future uncertain.

With the upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest acting as a sequel to WandaVision, some speculation suggests the Ralph Bohner character could resurface, potentially serving as a gateway for Peters to re-enter the narrative. For now, it remains a rumor, but the expanding multiverse makes anything possible.
