It’s somehow fitting that Drake chose a fashion show – Luis Vuitton’s Men’s SS18 – to premiere his new single “Signs.” If any rapper embodies the 21st century aspirational lifestyle, shot through with performative angst and melancholy to suggest, you know, layers to his being, it’s Drake. Snark aside, this one is catchy as hell: full of hooks (“Can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning…,”) and the perfect tempo for grinding against the knockoff Rihanna who deigns to dance with you. “Signs” kicks in at roughly the 3:33 mark.
