Exclusive Preview | ‘Sand + Bone’

For some soldiers, a war is never truly over. This week, writer J.T. Krul and artist Andrea Mutti are exploring the consequences of war in a new original graphic novel called Sand + Bone.

In this story, an Iraq war veteran named Sean Hitcher comes back to his hometown as a haunted man. And while it would be easy to dismiss Sean as yet another victim of PTSD, the truth is much more terrifying. Something happened to Sean on the battlefield…something supernatural. Now, Sean has unknowingly carried it back with him, and the violence is spreading through his town!

CraveOnline is proud to debut two exclusive pages from Sand + Bone that tease what Sean has become. And after this moment, his life will never be the same again.

You can pre-order a copy of Sand + Bone from Barnes & Noble. Here’s the official description of the graphic novel from Adaptive Books:

Sean Hitcher has just returned from war. He didn’t die in Iraq, but part of him wishes that he did. He’s home now, back in the small Midwestern town where he grew up. But he is haunted by nightmarish visions of killing and carnage that seem to be the result of severe PTSD. But are they? Is there something he’s missing…

As mysterious acts of violence spread throughout the town, Sean begins to wonder if there’s more going on than he originally thought. What terror did he experience on the battlefield, and what horrifying secret did he bring back with him?

Sand + Bone will be released on Tuesday, April 18 in book stores exclusively from Barnes & Noble.
