Blood And Water Premieres On OMNI Television In November

OMNI Television’s original crime drama series Blood and Water returns with eight new half-hour episodes of Season One, premiering Sunday, November 13th at 10:30pm.

Produced in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, this next block of episodes follows Detective Jo Bradley, played by Steph Song, on an all-new murder case, entrenched in a mysterious web of lies leading back to the Xie family.

“We are proud to have completed the first season of Blood and Water and offer viewers eight new episodes of this compelling family drama,” said Nataline Rodrigues, Director of Original Programming at Rogers Media, in a press release. “This series is such an important part of OMNI Television as it reflects multicultural, multigenerational and multilingual communities in Canada, both in front of and behind the camera.”

In the next eight episodes, Detective Evan Ong (Byron Mann, The Big Short), a decorated police hero formerly of the Guns and Gangs Unit, joins Detective Jo (Song) as they’re thrust back into the Xie family orbit. Following the death of his two sons, Ron Xie (Oscar Hsu) faces a power struggle when his company is held under siege by his former partner and his partner’s son, played by new cast member, Telly Liu (The Man with the Iron Fists). On a personal level, Jo finds herself on a quest to discover her biological family, one that stuns her and sets her on a dangerous, unpredictable journey of self-discovery.

Audiences can catch-up on the first eight episodes on the OMNI Television website, www.OMNItv.ca, and on Rogers on Demand.

“Breakthrough is thrilled to bring the ongoing saga of the troubled Xie family to audiences,” said Ira Levy, Executive Producer at Breakthrough Entertainment. “We’ve amped up the drama in these new episodes, incorporating the diversity issues that challenge these characters, speaking volumes to the cast’s depth and ability to connect with multilingual viewers.”
