Despite the fact that it features the Houston Texans, HBO’s “Hard Knocks” was extremely entertaining this year.
Whether it’s head coach Bill O’Brien cussing like a sailor or defensive lineman Vince Wilfork sporting nothing but overalls and cowboy boots, you have to admit the producers really did their jobs well this time around and surprisingly found a great team to follow this preseason.
But perhaps nobody has shined as bright as the team’s once no-named center Ben Jones, who admitted to O’Brien during the show’s first episode that he once puked all over himself during a game in college. And that seems rather tame compared to the story he told several weeks ago, where he drank his own urine following a drug test earlier this year.
“It kind of caught me off guard,” Jones said. “It was a drug test day and I walked out, and (cornerback Kareem Jackson) said, ‘That looks like apple juice.’ I said, ‘How much you pay me to drink this?’ He threw out a number, and I just knocked it on back.”
So if our calculations are correct, that means there are only two ways for either Jones or a teammate to one-up him. And even though it’s HBO, either one would probably be too much for even them to air.
