Exclusive Premiere | Adiam’s Fearless Sound Knows No Boundaries

TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek has a Midas touch, producing seminal albums not only for his own Brooklyn-indie rock band, but for the likes of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foals and Wale. The sound wizard’s latest collaborator is Adiam, an Eritrean-Swedish singer and songwriter who is hard to define, but has an instantly recognizable sound that’s both atmospheric and alluring.

Sitek discovered Adiam in a Los Angeles recording studio and the pair started working together on songs off her forthcoming album, Black Wedding (Universal Germany), coming on August 26th.

Crave is exclusively premiering an unreleased version of her latest single, “Fearless (FTSE Remix),” that you won’t find on the album. Remixed by British producer FTSE, the mood-shifting, power ballad showcases Adiam’s avant-garde hip-pop sound that fuses neo-soul harmonies with head-nodding electro breakbeats.
