Anne Heche’s Estate Battle Gets Ugly Over Missing Rings & Money Questions

Anne Heche’s estate dispute has taken another turn as Lynne Mishele challenges how the late actress’s son handles her finances. Mishele, who rented the home struck by Heche’s car, says estate records leave major questions unanswered. Her legal team has raised concerns about assets missing from the accounting. The dispute now puts jewelry and finances under fresh scrutiny.

Anne Heche’s crash victim questions Homer Laffoon over 10 engagement rings and estate finances

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Mishele objected to Homer Heche Laffoon’s first accounting of his mother’s estate. Her lawyers say the sides reached an agreement in principle on her $2 million creditor claim, but Homer has stalled the probate process.

They argue that his accounting contains conflicting figures. One section lists about $350,000 in available assets, while another shows $514,741.09 in total assets and $141,658.79 in cash.

Mishele’s team also wants answers about 10 engagement rings Heche received from former partner James Tupper during their decade-long relationship. The lawyers question whether the estate includes benefits or pension payments from SAG-AFTRA.

They also challenge $11,300 in storage fees and an unpaid $8,725 IOU that Tupper allegedly owes the estate. Additionally, they raise concerns about whether Homer mixed funds from his personal bank account with estate money.

Mishele wants the probate judge to reject Homer’s accounting and require him to provide relevant bank records. The filing follows her earlier dispute over claims that the sides had settled her lawsuit.

Mishele previously acknowledged an agreement in principle but said the parties could not finalize it because Homer had not provided certain documents. She is seeking damages for the loss of property and emotional distress from the crash and fire.

Heche died in August 2022 after suffering injuries from the crash, which caused a fire at Mishele’s rented Los Angeles home. The latest filing adds another development to the ongoing estate dispute. A court hearing is scheduled for December 1.
