According to the National Examiner, an unnamed source claimed that Camilla feels uncomfortable appearing alongside Middleton and was unhappy with the attention the Princess of Wales received during the event.

From her appearance to her fashion choices, the Princess of Wales reportedly drew significant attention at the October 20 banquet. Both royals wore tiaras for the event, with Kate choosing Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot tiara and Camilla wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara.
“She absolutely hates being outshone by Kate,” the insider told National Examiner. “But it happens anytime they appear together because Kate is more popular, simple as that.”
The source further alleged that Camilla was particularly unhappy with the attention Kate received during the event.
“Seeing her get all the attention at the state banquet really set her off,” the insider claimed. “Charles keeps trying to reassure Camilla and get her to stop obsessing but nothing he says helps.”
According to the National Examiner, the source’s claims about Camilla extend beyond public appearances. The insider claimed that Camilla is also concerned about her position if Prince William eventually becomes King.
“She insists they’re power hungry and looking to push her out,” the insider said of William and Kate. “She’s convinced that Kate has purposely left her out of meetings to stop her from having a say in things.”
