David Walliams Faces Another Brutal Career Blow — Insider

David Walliams has reportedly lost another work opportunity amid allegations of inappropriate behavior. The British comedian and children’s author has been removed from the preliminary cast list of an upcoming film. The development follows several professional setbacks in recent months, although Walliams has strongly denied the allegations.

David Walliams has been removed from a movie cast

According to TMZ, a source close to the production of The Road to Nevermore said Walliams was removed from the project after the allegations surfaced. The film is still in its early production stages, and Walliams had only appeared on a preliminary cast list.

The insider clarified that the comedian had not signed an official contract for the film. His name has also been removed from the movie’s IMDb cast listing, according to the outlet.

The reported casting decision comes amid other professional setbacks for the Little Britain star. Walliams previously lost his publishing relationship with HarperCollins following allegations of inappropriate behavior toward female employees.

In December 2025, the publisher announced that it would no longer release new books by Walliams. The company subsequently confirmed in September 2026 that it would stop publishing his existing back catalog.

The decision means HarperCollins will gradually phase out his remaining books, including physical copies, e-books, and audiobooks. Meanwhile, talent agency YMU is reportedly no longer actively representing the comedian.

Walliams has strongly denied the allegations of misconduct. Through his representative, he previously stated that HarperCollins had never informed him of the complaints. He also maintained that he had not participated in any investigation or been given an opportunity to respond to the allegations.

Although his reported removal from The Road to Nevermore marks another professional setback, the production has not publicly detailed the casting decision. Walliams’ representatives have also been contacted for comment.

The latest development adds to the uncertainty surrounding his upcoming projects as the comedian continues to deny the allegations against him.
