Kim Kardashian and Kanye West do not always communicate directly. New revelations about the former couple suggest that they sometimes rely on others to communicate. The disclosure appears in the new Kim Kardashian biography, Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future. Despite the complicated arrangement, Kardashian says she continues to protect the relationship between West and their four children.

Kardashian revealed that she communicates with West “through his wife,” Bianca Censori, or through his manager, according to Us Weekly.
Journalist Jonathan Van Meter interviewed Kardashian and members of her inner circle between 2018 and 2026 for Citizen Kim, which arrived Oct. 27.
Kardashian acknowledged that the arrangement comes with challenges. Still, she said she tries to shield North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm from conflict involving their father.
She also encourages West to spend time with their children. Kardashian recalled inviting West to their home for dinner. She even offered to leave so he could spend time with their children comfortably.
She also said she invited West and Censori to join the family for Christmas. The invitation aligns with reports that Kardashian and West spent Christmas together with their children last year. West and Censori reportedly later took three of the children to Disneyland.
However, their co-parenting relationship has faced challenges. Kardashian previously said West had gone “a couple months” without calling their children. Later reports claimed she sought Censori’s help in encouraging him to become more involved.
By January, however, Kardashian said her relationship with West was in a “better place” as they worked on co-parenting.
The former couple has also shown signs of cooperation in recent months. In September, the exes reunited to support North at her solo show debut.
Kardashian told Van Meter that she remains willing to overlook West’s hurtful remarks about her. She wants their children to maintain a relationship with their father.
Despite their differences, Kardashian remains focused on ensuring their children maintain a relationship with their father.
