Marcellus Wiley, the estranged husband of RHOBH alum Annemarie Wiley, is facing legal action over allegations of sexual battery and assault involving a 1999 incident. The former NFL player and ESPN personality is accused of raping a 22-year-old college student while he was with the Buffalo Bills.
Marcellus Wiley is accused of assaulting a woman in 1999
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, filed the lawsuit against Marcellus in Los Angeles County on October 27. According to the lawsuit, she was a senior at the University of Southern California when she met Wiley in February 1999, during his time with the Buffalo Bills, reports TMZ.
In the lawsuit obtained by the outlet, Jane alleged that she went on a couple of dates with Marcellus. She said she made it clear that she did not want to have sex with him or start a relationship. Several weeks later, Marcellus allegedly invited Jane to a nightclub in downtown Los Angeles. She said she accepted his invitation.
The New York Post reported that he picked her up outside her USC dorm. Following their night out, he allegedly “pleaded” with her to accompany him to his hotel, the Hilton near LAX Airport. “Because it was late and she did not have access to her car, Jane agreed to go with Wiley to his hotel,” the lawsuit stated. However, she repeatedly told him that she was not interested in having sex. She claimed in her lawsuit that she went to sleep “fully clothed” after reaching the hotel room but was raped by the NFL player later that night.
The lawsuit stated that Jane reportedly pleaded with him several times, saying, “Please stop.” However, she alleged that he did not stop. She further claimed that Marcellus later drove her back to her dorm room. During the drive, he allegedly told her that he had “the clap.” He also reportedly advised her to get tested for a sexually transmitted disease. The two “never spoke again” after the incident.
The lawsuit comes after his estranged wife accused him of sexual assault in a request for a domestic violence restraining order earlier this year. He rejected the allegations, describing them as lies.
