Moses Hacmon appeared alongside his wife, Trisha Paytas, on the October 27 episode of the Just Trish podcast, where he accused Ethan Klein of spreading lies about his family. He also opened up about his five-year estrangement from his sister, Hila Klein, who is married to Ethan.
Moses Hacmon accuses Ethan Klein of spreading lies
According to People, Hacmon’s comments followed Hila’s infidelity claims against her husband. In an October 23 Instagram statement, Hila accused Ethan of having an affair for more than six months and repeatedly lying to her.
Hila described the alleged betrayal as devastating and revealed that she was navigating heartbreak while prioritizing their three children.
The family tensions date back to the fallout from Frenemies, which Paytas co-hosted with Ethan until their public falling-out in 2021. Paytas later married Hacmon, Hila’s older brother. Since then, the couple has remained estranged from the Kleins.
During Just Trish, Hacmon explained why he had avoided discussing family matters publicly. “I made the decision to never talk about family for, you know, I don’t know, for drama, for views, for whatever it is that they were doing,” he said. He also revealed that he had not spoken to Hila in five years.
However, Hacmon claimed Ethan’s comments about him and Paytas continued to affect his family. “I know what I’m not going to do, but I can’t control what they’re doing,” he said. “And it’s hurting my wife. It’s hurting my children. Stuff that’s being said are, like, blatant lies that people just believe and run with.”
Hacmon also admitted that Hila’s statement about her marriage had deeply affected him. Despite their estrangement, he expressed sympathy for his sister and recalled their close relationship.
“Even though I don’t talk to her, I don’t hate anyone, and I don’t… You know, I understand where people come from,” he said. “I understand why people do what they do. And it’s unfortunate, but I understand. And I still have memory in my body of my sister. You know, [she’s] my youngest sister. We were very close.”
Although Hacmon expressed concern for Hila, he maintained that his decision to remain estranged from the Kleins would not change. His comments came as Ethan continued facing scrutiny following his wife’s public allegations.
