Mark Ruffalo Pops up in Special Video During Macklemore Concert

Mark Ruffalo has made a surprise appearance during Macklemore‘s latest concert, sharing a message of support for Palestinians. The actor’s video played during the rapper’s first Free Palestine Tour performance in Dublin. Ruffalo’s message highlighted the two entertainers’ shared advocacy for Palestinian rights.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ruffalo appeared in a prerecorded video during Macklemore’s concert on Monday in Dublin. The Avengers star encouraged the audience to continue supporting equality and Palestinian freedom. The audience applauded his message.

“Keep fighting for a free Palestine and humanity all over the world and equality amongst the people,” Ruffalo said. “There will be no peace until there’s equality,” he added. The actor concluded, “Lots of love, have a good show. Keep fighting the good fight. God bless everyone.”

The appearance came as Macklemore launched his three-date Free Palestine Tour. The rapper announced the shows after being removed from Ed Sheeran’s Loop tour in September. The decision followed Macklemore’s pro-Palestine remarks during a New Jersey concert.

Ruffalo has also faced backlash over his public comments about Israel and Gaza. He previously criticized Oracle over its reported technology support for the Israeli military. Paramount subsequently accused the actor of perpetuating “antisemitic tropes.” Ruffalo strongly rejected the accusation.

The actor called those accusations “appalling and fundamentally dishonest.” He also emphasized that criticizing Israeli government policies does not mean criticizing Jewish people. Several fellow actors, including George Clooney and John Cusack, publicly defended Ruffalo.

Meanwhile, Macklemore addressed the controversy behind his tour during Monday’s performance. He argued that his message was rooted in compassion rather than hatred. He also emphasized the importance of freedom, dignity, and the right to live without fear.

“Two words that are rooted in love and liberation,” Macklemore told the crowd. “Not against anybody, not divisive. Not a call for hatred.” He continued, “But a call to recognize our shared humanity. Free Palestine.”

The Dublin concert also featured Irish performers Hozier and Kneecap. Macklemore’s tour continues in Paris before concluding in London later this week.
