Joe Gorga made a provocative joke about wife Melissa Gorga while promoting his new Hulu competition series, The Mob.
During an interview, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star was asked which reality personalities he would promote to a leadership role and which he would “whack” if they appeared on the show. Melissa’s name prompted his most eyebrow-raising answer.

Joe immediately chose Melissa as a “Don,” but his explanation quickly turned sexual. Us reported on the exchange.
“Oh, definitely a Don,” he said. “You know why I said Don? Because we had sex this morning. Because if she didn’t give me sex, then I’d be like, ‘Whack her.’”
Joe and Melissa married in August 2004 and share three children. Their relationship has played out for years on RHONJ, where Joe has frequently joked about their sex life.
The 52-year-old also discussed maintaining his physique ahead of his appearance on The Mob. He said staying in shape helped keep Melissa interested and joked that he needed to “keep her on her toes.”
Later in the interview, Joe spoke about his home life when asked whether he watched any of his new costars’ reality shows.
He said he spent most of his time working, raising his children and taking care of things at home.
“I have no life but work and kids and life,” Joe said. “And I got to take care of my wife. That’s why she’s so happy.”
Joe competed on The Mob alongside personalities including Demi Engemann, Chelsea Lazkani, Harry Jowsey and Bruno Tonioli. The series, hosted by Parker Posey, placed celebrities inside an Italian villa as they competed for up to $250,000.
Joe said he enjoyed his castmates and singled out Jowsey as someone who immediately caught his attention because of his height and appearance.
His comments about Melissa ultimately became one of the most memorable parts of the interview, continuing the sexual humor Joe has often brought to discussions about their marriage.
