Scott “Stew” Stewart is looking back at his difficult experience on Love Is Blind. The reality star says he understands why Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli ended their engagement. He has also admitted that some of his behavior on camera did not show him in the best light. Still, Stew says he cannot remember some of the remarks viewers saw before their split.
Scott Stewart discusses his on-camera remarks and rejection by Jax Guelli on Love Is Blind Season 11
Stew discussed the breakup during an appearance on the “TMZ Podcast.” He said he fully believes Jax did not end their engagement because of his looks. The 34-year-old engineering director proposed to Jax while they were dating in the show’s pods, without seeing her face. When they finally met in person, their relationship went through a sudden change.
After their face-to-face reveal, Jax left the situation without explaining her decision to Stew in person. This left him facing an awkward moment as the crew told him that the engagement had ended. Stew later met with Jax in Boston and learned more about her decision. She was unsure about him after he proposed to her, he said, and she became overwhelmed.
Stew also opened up about how he felt during their first meeting. He admitted that he was “so self-conscious” with the lights and cameras focused on him. Looking back at the show, he agreed that some of his comments made him seem like a “douche.” He also said he had “no recollection” of what he said in certain moments before Jax ended their engagement.
Despite the painful breakup, Stew says he understands Jax’s side of the story. Jax later met with him to apologize for the way things unfolded. The two have since rebuilt their connection and are now friends. Their story shows that the breakup did not prevent them from finding a better place with each other after the show.
